Ooni are extremely passionate about creating exceptional pizzas. The company was founded in 2012 by husband-and-wife team, Kristian and Darina who at the time ran an education company in creativity, innovation and problem solving within school communities.

It wasn’t until Kristian came across a problem of his own, faced with the difficulty of creating the perfect pizza, finding at home he was simply unable to make one up to the restaurant quality he desired. He understood that exceptional quality of pizza came from a short firing time and an extremely high heat, which a domestic oven just couldn’t deliver. He continued to search for a pizza oven to use in the back yard, but every product he came across were ridiculously huge and expensive.

Despite not being from an engineering, inventing or designing background, Kristian dedicated himself to this great idea. After many prototypes and ongoing testing, Kristian created the first ever portable wood-fired pizza oven.

Since launching, Ooni has grown into an award winning, worldwide recognised company. The oven is celebrated for it’s capability of creating authentic delicious wood-fired pizzas, whilst also being an entirely unique and portable product. The sleek and attractive design fits well into a modern garden, offering restaurant quality fresh pizzas whatever the weather.
